When organizing an assessment on Nexam, you can manage the publication of corrections and feedback for your participants. Once the copies have been corrected, you have the option to publish feedback based on six different control levels for each exam session.
To do this, click on Management > Schedule, then in the configuration settings, select the desired publication level.
Publication Controls
Once all copies have been corrected, you can publish the corrections to provide feedback to users. There are six levels of control for publishing feedback, applicable to each session:
-
Inactive: By default, corrections cannot be published. The Publish button is invisible, and the publication action is blocked.
-
Complete: The Complete publication control grants users read-only access to the entire correction module. The following information is accessible:
- Multiple question-based assessment: Details of questions and answers
- Essay-based evaluations: Content of the written response and spreadsheet
- Supplementary documents in the viewer
- Score obtained per question or correction criterion
- Comments
- Additional files uploaded
- Summary of results
- Achievement level and/or passing threshold, if applicable
- Exam documents (requires enabling the Access to PDF documents for candidates setting)
- Certificate (requires enabling the Certificate publication setting, and the candidate must have met the passing threshold)
-
No document: The No document publication control provides access to the same information as the Complete mode, except for supplementary documents in the viewer.
-
Summary: The Summary publication control provides access only to the correction summary. The following information is accessible:
- Score obtained per question or correction criterion
- Comments
- Summary of results
- Achievement level and/or passing threshold, if applicable
-
Summary and Documents: The Summary and Documents publication control provides access to the same information as the Summary Only mode, plus:
- Exam documents (requires enabling the Access to PDF documents for participants setting)
- Certificate (requires enabling the Certificate publication setting, and the participant must have met the passing threshold)
-
Documents Only: The Documents Only publication control grants access only to exam documents and certificates, if applicable. Similar to the Summary and Documents control, to access:
- Exam documents (requires enabling the Access to PDF documents for candidates setting)
- Certificate (requires enabling the Certificate publication setting, and the candidate must have met the passing threshold)
ℹ️ NOTE: Except for the Inactive publication control, corrected copies can be published in bulk by a user with an executive role.
Reviewing a Published Correction
If a correction needs to be modified after publication, validating the correction again will deactivate the publication, and the candidate will no longer have access to their feedback.
Follow these steps to review a correction:
- Select Administration from the left-side navigation menu.
- Select a Course from the dropdown menu.
- Select the Schedule.
- Click on the settings wheel for the copy that needs modification, then select Review Grading.
- Click Validate Correction after making the necessary changes.
- In the copy tracking table, click the Publish button or select the copy using the checkbox, then choose Publish from the dropdown menu.
