Start Correction

  • Click on "Grading" in the left menu to access the essay to be corrected. They are categorized by course and by the name of the exam.

 

ℹ️ NOTE: Start correcting a paper by clicking on the "Grade" button in the exam session.

Correction Grids

  • To enter results into Nexam, check the desired criterion and enter the details. The levels achieved for the criteria in Nexam are presented from highest to lowest.
⚠️ WARNING: Do not "deselect" a criterion that has already been filled out, as this will erase the correction and comments.
TIP: Adjust the display of the student's essays or correction grid by moving the sidebar in the middle of the screen. Navigate between essays using the arrows at the bottom of your screen.

Comments

  • Comments can be added in the designated space in the correction grids for each criterion. These comments are saved automatically.
  • It is also possible to add comments directly to the candidate’s text. To do this, select the part of the text you want to comment on, then click on the "Text Bubble" icon to add your comment.
⚠️ WARNING: Click on the green checkmark to add the comment to the text.

Files

  • Click on the "Files" tab to add a file to the participant's paper.

Summary and Validation of Results

  • Click on the "Summary" tab on the left margin to access the summary of the correction for each criterion.
  • You must validate the correction to be able to publish the essay later.
TIP: You can also validate corrections in "bulk" without opening the participants' essay. Go to the exam session, check the boxes next to the participants' names, then click on "Choose an Action" to validate or publish all or some of the essays in bulk.

Preview of Corrected Essay and PDF

  • In the exam session, once the correction is completed and validated, access the corrected essay in PDF format by clicking on the settings icon to the right of the student’s essay.
  • At this location, you will also find a preview of what will be accessible to the student.

Modifying the Correction

  • If the paper has not yet been published, you can adjust the correction (Review Grading) as needed by clicking on the settings icon to the right of the students' papers.
  • Adjustments are automatically saved in the correction grid and in the summary of results if the criteria are modified.

Publication of Results

The exam administrator will review the corrected papers. If everything is correct, the coordinator will publish the results.
